:: JK Bond Ball Lite (JK BBL) Test
A new test methodology for the estimation of Bond Ball Mill Work Index (BBMWi) has been developed at the University of Queensland's Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI) from work undertaken at the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre (JKMRC).
The new test, called JK Bond Ball Lite (JK BBL), is a locked cycle grindability test conducted using a standard laboratory Bond ball mill with the same steel ball charge and material feed size (100% passing 3.35 mm) as the standard full Bond test. The JK BBL test, however only consists of 3 grind cycles instead of the minimum 7 required by the full Bond test.
