:: Change in Technology Licensing Arrangements for Bateman Engineered Technologies

Following the acquisition of the Delkor Group of Companies by Bateman Engineered Technologies B.V. (part of the Bateman Engineering Group) in 2008, the licence agreement for Africa between Westech Inc of the USA and Bateman Engineered Technologies to sell the Westech range of thickeners and paste thickening systems has been cancelled.

As a result of the acquisition, Bateman Engineered Technologies now has access to Delkor’s comprehensive and leading range of solid / liquid separation equipment, including thickening systems, for mineral and chemical processing applications.

The reciprocal licence agreement for North America between Bateman Engineered Technologies and Westech for the latter to sell the Bateman technologies, including the Bateman Ultrasep, Bateman Pinned Bed Clarifier (PBC™) and Bateman BQR Flotation Cells, has also been terminated. These technologies are available globally either via Bateman Engineered Technologies, or from Delkor in North, South and Central America, Europe, India, Australasia and the Far East.

Delkor’s wide range of equipment includes thickeners, horizontal belt filters, Delkor Screens and other associated mineral processing equipment.

The name Delkor has become synonymous with the world’s leading belt filter technology. Delkor introduced the horizontal belt filter concept in 1975, and has designed and manufactured over 650 units from small pilot filters to large units with an effective filtration area of between 0.25 m2 and 162 m2. Delkor Horizontal Belt Filters outperform the rotary drum, disc, tilting pan and table filters in all applications where increased capacity, efficient washing and minimum liquor dilution are required.

The Delkor High Rate Thickeners use an innovative feedwell design, enhanced polymer injection systems and a high volume auto dilution which reduces flocculant usage. Very high torque drive systems permit high density slurries to be produced in thickeners up to 100 m in diameter. These drive systems are of a robust construction and offer a service life in excess of 30 years.

The Delkor Screen operates with no vibration to prevent realignment of oversize material with the cloth aperture, ensuring maximum retention of trash material.
