:: Consolidation in the Ore Sorting Technology Sector

CommodasUltrasort, the leading provider of sensor-based ore sorting systems, has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Terra Vision. With offices in Quebec City and Vancouver, Terra Vision offers automated ore sorting solutions from initial feasibility testing to equipment sales and complete contract sorting lines to the Canadian and North American mining industry. Terra Vision recorded revenues from sales of consulting and sorting test work of approximately C$500,000 in 2009.

Sales Director CommodasUltrasort Mining, Hartmut Harbeck says: “CommodasUltrasort currently has 18 sorting machines running in the Canadian and North American market especially in diamonds and industrial minerals applications. The acquisition of Terra Vision will strengthen our ability to provide local support to our existing customers and ensure that our new installations this year in base metals and industrial minerals become a commercial success for our customers. Matthew and Jean-Daniel will also strengthen our global mining team by their mining specific sorting experience."

President Terra Vision, Matthew Kowalczyk says: “Jean-Daniel and I have collaborated closely with CommodasUltrasort for many years and have a deep understanding of their sophisticated equipment and technology. Becoming a part of the global CommodasUltrasort team allows us to further draw on the expertise they have built up in their subsidiaries in Africa, Australia and Europe."

CommodasUltrasort operates globally providing state-of-the-art systems in automated material identification and sorting for the mining and mineral processing industries.

CommodasUltrasort is the mining division of the Norwegian Titech Group, the global market leader in sensor-based sorting systems. With more than 2,200 installations in more than 30 countries, Titech Group is fully owned by stock listed TOMRA Systems ASA based in Asker, Norway.
