Process Environmental Engineer [October 18, 2016]
Location: United States, Nevada, Goldstrike
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be responsible to actively contribute to process area safety and safety programs
Work safely around process equipment and various reagents
Leading the Process Division in environmental compliance by providing direction, data, and support information to the Environmental Division.
Conduct environmental monitoring and maintain records
Administer plant sampling, surveys, and research and development related to environmental process systems.
Troubleshoot issues related to environmental monitoring and compliance. Track routine maintenance and calibration of environmental monitoring equipment
Manage site water balance
Other duties as assigned
Additionally, the successful candidate must be capable of effectively communicating with operations, maintenance and management personnel.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications Required and/or Preferred:
To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
Bachelorís degree in Environmental, Civil, Mining, Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering or related field required.
Basic knowledge of environmental compliance and monitoring functions and mineral plant unit operations, preferred.
Proven safety record and ability to support work group in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection, and production goals required.
Capable of walking up and down stairs along with uneven surfaces, required.
Strong math skills, required.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required.
Effective oral and written communication skills, required.
Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of position, required.
