The first keynote lecture, "Recent developments and future of modelling in mineral processing using particle methods" will be given by Dr Paul Cleary of CSIRO, Australia.

Paul Cleary is a Chief Research Scientist at CSIRO Data61. His research interests are focused on particle based modelling for industrial, geophysical and biophysical applications and the development of the Workspace framework to support the commercialisation of software tools developed in a research environment. Current applications of his particle modelling include simulation of rock and slurry flow in mills, modelling of elite aquatic sports and human oral digestion. The Workspace initiative, which he leads, is aimed at providing a platform to improve the translation of research or prototype software into distributable quality products
