Well, as Nick Sessions, of eDart, South Africa said:
"The MEI Flotation Conference is the Davos of the
flotation industry. Whereas world leaders go to
Switzerland, our customers come to Cape Town."
And in other news... there is a final call for
papers for Process Mineralogy '18 and Hi-Tech
Metals '18. These events are being held back-to-back
at the wonderful Vineyard Hotel in Cape Town this November.
Developing from MEI’s previous conferences on Process
Mineralogy, Applied Mineralogy and Automated Mineralogy,
Process Mineralogy ’18 will deal with the following
topics: Quantitative mineralogy, including both X-ray
and Electron Beam Techniques; Geometallurgy; Ore
characterisation; Mineral Liberation and Textural
Analysis; Application of process mineralogy on site;
Sampling and Statistics; Advanced Process Control.
Developments in the Processing of the Hi-Tech Metals
will be MEI's first international conference dealing
with the mineral processing and extractive metallurgy
of these metals from primary and secondary resources,
and the environmental problems that are often
associated with their extraction.
* IOM3 Award to MEI Rising Star Anita Parbhakar-Fox
* Memories of Prof. Heinrich Schubert
* Glencore Technology to sponsor Flotation '19
* Final Calls for Abstracts: Process Mineralogy '18 and Hi-Tech Metals '18
