:: Dikulushi Ships First Concentrates

Australia's Anvil Mining shipped the first copper-silver concentrates from its Dikulushi open pit project, near Nchelenge in the Democratic Reublic of Congo.. The first four truckloads totaled 120 mt, grading 41.7% copper and 825 grams/mt of silver. This batch made the journey by road to the Ongopolo smelter in Namibia in eight days.

Anvil produced the concentrates at Dikulushi's newly commissioned heavy media separation plant, which is expected to produce about 40,000 mt/year of concentrates, containing 14,000 mt of copper and 1.1 million ounces of silver. With cash flow from Dikulushi Anvil is now contemplating a second stage of construction, which will include grinding and flotation circuits. Dikulushi has an resource of 1.94 million mt, which, at a 2% copper cut-off, has a very attractive average grade of 658Wa copper and 266 grams/mt of silver.
