:: Gekko Diamond Plant Shipped Out to Boungou River Project

The Boungou River Project is an alluvial diamond deposit which is situated in southeastern Central Africa Republic (CAR), some 80 kilometres north of the town of Bria, one of the country's largest diamond centres. The region reportedly accounts for some 25% of the CAR's total annual diamond production of approximately 450, 000 carats. Diamonds produced from this area are renowned for their high quality.

Gekko Systems (Australia) has supplied a complete modular plant including power, water and ancillary modules. The processing module comprises a two stage "through the bed jigging" plant with a capacity of 50 tph.

Manufacturing and dry commissioning was recently completed at the Gekko factory in Ballarat, and the plant was containerised and shipped last month.
