:: First Sepro Scrubber Installed in North America

Sepro Mineral Systems was recently awarded a project to supply a 2.4m x 4.2m - 110kW Sepro scrubber to Lehigh Materials, a division of Heidelberg Cement. The unit will be installed in their largest sand and gravel site in Canada where they produce over five million tonnes per year of construction aggregates.

This order is significant for a number of reasons. It is the first Sepro scrubber to be installed in North America, as well as the first unit to be fabricated in North America with final assembly and testing done at Sepro's facilities in Langley British Columbia. Finally, the unit has been designed to replace an existing competitorsí unit without requiring any modifications to the existing foundation and structures.

The Sepro scrubber was chosen based on the simplicity and the historic low operating cost of this design. The unit is designed to process up to 500t/hr of -40mm gravel. Installation and commissioning of this unit was completed in August 2009.
