:: SGS Appoints Steve Wilson to Global Vice President, Metallurgy & Mineralogy

SGS is pleased to welcome Steve Wilson, PhD, PEng to the Minerals Services division as the newly appointed Global Vice President, Metallurgy and Mineralogy.

In his new role, Steve will be responsible for setting directions for the global metallurgy and mineralogy businesses. His role will drive innovation and bring new technologies, methodologies and strategies to market to better service the needs of the minerals industry. With a production-based understanding of the market place and market segmentation, Steve will be leading geographic expansion and acquisitions to develop company visions and initiatives.

Steve brings to SGS over 20 years of diverse, international experience in the minerals industry working with various metals and commodities. Starting his successful career in research engineering and process development, Steve has built an extensive background in mineral resources research and technology. He assumed the role of Global Vice President, Metallurgy and Mineralogy effective September 1st and he is based out of SGS’ office in Toronto, Canada.
