:: Multotec Launches New and Improved Siebtechnik Centrifuge Range
The Multotec Group has breathed new life into its range of coal dewatering centrifuges with the introduction of the New Generation HSG 1300, the H 1000, and the COX 1200 centrifuges. The units were officially launched in April this year and coincided with an announcement that the first HSG 1650 centrifuge is currently being manufactured by Siebtechnik in Germany.
The New Generation HSG 1300 vibrating screen centrifuge is ideal for dewatering coarse coal and can process material ranging in size from 2 mm to 60 mm. Based on the existing HSG 1300 centrifuge, the New Generation unit has been redesigned with improved safety, and ease of maintenance and operation in mind.
Advances to the design of the HSG 1300 include :
In addition to the safety and operation aspects, these new features are set to significantly reduce maintenance time. As an example, basket removal previously took in the region of four hours. With the new design, the time taken to remove the basket has been significantly reduced.
The H 1000 fine coal centrifuge is new to the South African market. Based on the successful operation of these centrifuges in both Australian and Chinese coal mining operations, one unit has already been commissioned for delivery to a local coal mine in May this year.
The H 1000 has been specifically designed to handle spiral product. Special design features include :
The solids housings of both the New Generation HSG 1300 and H 1000 are subjected to excessive wear in coal dewatering applications. As a result, the units are lined with engineered ceramic tiles.
The Multotec Group also unveiled the new COX 1200 centrifuge. Design features include :
The COX 1200 is being developed for fine coal applications and is in the final design stage.
