Below are a suggestion of DAY TOURS in Windhoek and PRE / POST tours in Namibia from Windhoek as well as a tour option to Botswana and another including Botswana and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe).

Windhoek City Tour

Duration : 3 hours

Windhoek City Tour

We visit the Christ Church, a historic landmark that was built following the wars between the Germans, Khoikhoi, Herero and Ovambo. The tour continues to The Ink Palace (Tintenpalast), currently the seat of the National Assembly and Parliament Gardens, containing Namibia’s first post independence monument, a bronze statue of the Herero Chief Hosea Kutako. We visit the Ryder Memorial, a controversial monument that honours the soldiers and civilians that died on the German side in the Herero and Namaqua War, as well as the Railway Station, built in a Cape Dutch style, and the Old Fort, designed to serve as headquarters of the imperial German Schutztruppe during the German colonization of SouthWest Africa.


City Tour & Katutura Combo

City Tour & Katutura Combo

14h00 pick up, 3 hours WHK city tour including a drive through Katutura. Very informative tour about Katutura Township, visiting Penduka Women’s Centre. Penduka is a non-governmental development organisation working with women in Namibia. In the Oshiwambo and Otjiherero languages the word Penduka means “Wake Up!” Through this program they encourage and support women throughout the country to take charge of their lives.” City Tours are conducted in either English or German.
Return to the hotel around 17h00.

Feeding of cheetah and leopard at close range starts 09h00- 10h00! Drive in an open 4x4 vehicle inside the Big Cats enclosure. Take brilliant pictures of these magnificent animals in their natural environment. Afterwards enjoy a drink at the old Farmhouse (build in 1909) which offers a spectacular view onto a riverbed and the Khomas Hochland mountains. Tours are conducted in either English or German.
