:: Kenmare Resources Selects MT Technology for New Expansion Mozambique’s largest mineral sands producer, Kenmare Resources, is expanding its Moma titanium minerals mine to achieve 50% increase in capacity by 2012. This will result in a production increase of ilmenite from 800,000 tpa to 1.2 million tpa, zircon from 50,000 tpa to 75,000 tpa and rutile from 14,000 tpa to 21,000 tpa. Long Term Project Commitment Mineral Technologies has worked closely with Kenmare Resources on the Moma operation for over 10 years. Having initially designed the facilities for BHP’s Beenup project in Western Australia, Mineral Technologies redesigned the plant ahead of its relocation to Mozambique and recommissioning in 2007.
