Beneficiation of Phosphates VI
March 6-11, Kunming, China

The 6th international conference on phosphate beneficiation, Beneficiation of Phosphates VI, March 6-11, Kunming, China, was successfully concluded. The theme of the conference was: Efficient and Safe Utilization of Phosphate Resources: New Theory, New Thinking, New Technology, and New Development.

The conference attracted more than 300 participants representing 15 countries, including Australia,Brazil,China,Canada,Finland,Israel,Jordan,Morocco,Namibia,Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia,South Africa, Tunisia,and USA. The representing countries produce 92% of the world’s phosphate rock.

The conference program was composed of one phosphate committee meeting, two plenary sessions, five topical workshops, and eight technical sessions, with a total of 55 speeches and presentations.

All the technical papers will be peer reviewed and published as a hardcover book by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration. The book will bear an ISBN of 978-0-87335-319-9, and should be available in about 6 months.
