![]() Graduate Metallurgist [March 15, 2023] Location: McArthur River Mine, Northern Territory, Australia Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You’ll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and is shipped to our customers all over the world. Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure and communications. As a Graduate Metallurgist you will work in one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has pioneered several Mining innovations whilst producing some of the current Local and Global Mining and Resource leaders. About the Role As a Graduate you will be exposed to a variety of engineering processes within the operation, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure organisational goals are met. In addition, you will apply a mix of metallurgical and engineering knowledge providing timely and safe solutions to meet the challenges of large-scale mining production. You will be exposed to a variety of work duties which includes documenting daily metallurgical performance, collecting and preparing samples, assisting in plant surveys and carrying out metallurgical tests such as floatation.
