VINEYARD HOTEL We are hoping to hold Flotation '21 at the Vineyard Hotel, in the leafy suburb of Claremont in Cape Town, however, this will depend upon any Covid-19 restrictions which may be in place at the time. Therefore we have decided that the event will definitely be hosted Online as well. Hopefully then, this will be a hybrid event, but there is a chance it could just be online so we would advise against booking accomodation until a final decision has been made and we will update the website as soon as we know for certain. If you have any questions please email Amanda. For MEI photographs of the Vineyard Hotel, offers a stunning view of the slopes of Devil's Peak and Table Mountain on 6 acres of parkland, and the Cape, click here.
CAPE TOWN The city of Cape Town (15 minutes drive from the Vineyard) offers countless attractions for the visitor, such as the famous Table Mountain, V&A waterfront, and Greenmarket Square, and there are numerous full-day and half-day excursions on offer, such as Cape Point, Robben Island, Stellenbosch and the Winelands. Closer to the Vineyard hotel are the upmarket Cavendish Square shopping and entertainment complex (5 min walk), numerous restaurants and the world-famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (30 min walk, 5 min drive). Cape Town is easily accessible internationally, with daily direct flights from Europe and the USA. Frequent flights from Africa, Asia, Australia and South America connect via Johannesburg. There is an extensive network of national flights to all major centres within South Africa and its neighbouring countries. More travel information
