This, the 2nd International Gravity Concentration Symposium, Gravity Concentration 04, was held in Perth, Australia from 22-23 March 2004 and was being sponsored by Falcon Concentrators, Gekko Systems, Roche Mining and the Minerals Gazette, published by Australia's Resource Information Unit.

The conference dealt with all aspects of the gravity concentration of minerals and coal, including:

  • Gravity concentrators: DMS, jigs, spirals, tables etc, and enhanced gravity machines
  • Control, simulation and optimisation of gravity concentrators and circuits
  • Plant operations
  • Uses of gravity concentration outside the minerals industry
