Location: NTNU, Norway

We are looking for a motivated person who is interested in joining our team as a PhD candidate at the Mineral Processing Laboratory at NTNU. Research and education at the Mineral Processing Laboratory at NTNU provide vital knowledge on sustainable processing of ores and minerals and the recovery of valuable components from industrial waste. The laboratory is unique in Norway and plays a strategically important role in the shift towards a greener and more circular economy.

The interdisciplinary PhD project will focus on development of new methods for efficient extraction of minerals and metals, based on controlled formation of smart bridging collectors on their interfaces. Given the new and emerging research area, the proposed PhD topic may cover flexible research questions from mineral processing, surface chemistry, interfacial phenomena, and additive manufacturing. The detailed research plan will be shaped based on the interest of successful candidate.
