![]() Postdoctoral Fellow in processing of marine minerals [February 16, 2023] Location: NTNU, Norway We are looking for a motivated person who is interested in joining our team as a postdoctoral candidate for 2 years to work in the project “Seabed minerals – Accelerates the energy transition”. This is an industry-academia collaborative project that will provide the candidate with an opportunity to work with relevant industry, research and academic partners related to marine sector. The position will focus on developing mineral separation processes for concentrating metals and minerals from the seabed. The postdoctoral fellowship position is a temporary position where the main goal is to qualify for work in senior academic positions. The Seabed minerals project focuses at developing and demonstrating world-leading technology and methodology for environmental and resource mapping and environmentally friendly production and processing of seabed minerals. The project is carried out by Norwegian industrial companies, and research institutes with world-leading expertise related to the deep-sea environment, geology, geophysics, offshore operations, and processing of minerals. The successsful candidate will be working at the Mineral Processing Laboratory at NTNU. Research and education at the Mineral Processing Laboratory at NTNU provide vital knowledge on sustainable processing of ores and minerals and the recovery of valuable components from industrial waste. The laboratory is unique in Norway and plays a strategically important role in the shift towards a greener and more circular economy. You will report to Professor Przemyslaw B. Kowalczuk and Associate Professor Kurt Aasly from the Department of Geoscience and Petroleum NTNU. Your immediate leader is Head of Department.
